I'm a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Karaganda, Kazakhstan from August 2009 - November 2011. I work with an HIV/AIDS education nonprofit, and on the side I help kids out with their English and travel around as much as possible. Photography helps me relax, but also lets me share my experiences here and how beautiful Kazakhstan and its people are.
My camera is a Canon Powershot - it fits in my pocket and doesn't scream "steal me, I'm expensive." It does limit what I can do with my pictures, to some extent, but the convenience is worth it!
I'll be putting up new pictures whenever I have access to the internet throughout my service, so if you like what you see or would like to live life in Kazakhstan vicariously through me, feel free to watch me. I can also take requests if there's more of a certain subject (like the endless steppe or ridiculously adorable local children) you'd like to see. Don't be shy!
